A quick and easy snack of thinly sliced banana chips coated in cinnamon sugar and air fried to crispy perfection, served with a creamy Greek yogurt dip.

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 cup plain, full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice 3 medium bananas into approximately 1/8-inch (3 mm) thin rounds using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. Stir to mix evenly.
  3. Add the banana slices to the cinnamon sugar mixture and gently toss to coat each slice evenly without breaking them.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3 minutes.
  5. Lay the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overlap. Cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Air fry the chips for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through (around 6 minutes), until golden and crisp. Watch closely from 9 minutes to prevent burning.
  7. Transfer chips to a wire rack to cool completely; they will crisp up further as they cool.
  8. While chips cook, whisk together 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice until smooth and creamy. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  9. Serve banana chips on a plate with a small bowl of the yogurt dip for dipping.

Notes

Use ripe but firm bananas to avoid mushy chips. Flip chips halfway through air frying for even browning. Cool chips on a wire rack to crisp up fully. If chips soften after cooling, re-air fry for 1-2 minutes at 350°F. For dairy-free dip, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut or almond yogurt and sweeten with maple syrup. A convection oven at 300°F for 20-25 minutes can be used if no air fryer is available.
