  • 6 cups Lucky Charms cereal

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter without browning.
  3. Gradually add 10 ounces of mini marshmallows to the melted butter, stirring constantly until smooth and fully melted (3-5 minutes).
  4. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to balance sweetness.
  5. Remove saucepan from heat and immediately fold in 6 cups of Lucky Charms cereal gently but thoroughly to coat evenly without crushing marshmallows or cereal pieces.
  6. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and press firmly but lightly with a buttered spatula or wax paper to keep treats airy and chewy.
  7. Let the treats cool at room temperature for at least 1 hour to set, or refrigerate for 30 minutes to speed up the process.
  8. Once set, cut into squares or rectangles using a sharp knife dipped in hot water for clean cuts.
