A delicate and elegant champagne cocktail featuring fresh strawberries, strawberry liqueur, and a hint of lemon juice, perfect for celebrations and easy to prepare in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 750 ml bottle of champagne or sparkling wine (brut recommended)
  • 68 medium fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
  • 2 ounces strawberry liqueur (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and hull 6-8 medium strawberries. Slice a few thinly for garnish and reserve one whole strawberry per glass.
  2. In a mixing pitcher, combine 2 ounces of strawberry liqueur (optional), 1 tablespoon simple syrup, and 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice. Stir gently until blended.
  3. If desired, add a few ice cubes to the mix and stir for 30 seconds, then strain out the ice to avoid watering down the cocktail.
  4. Place one whole strawberry at the bottom of each champagne flute or coupe glass.
  5. Pour about 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of the strawberry syrup mixture into each glass, adjusting to taste.
  6. Slowly pour 4 to 5 ounces (120 to 150 ml) of champagne or sparkling wine over the syrup and strawberry, pouring gently down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles.
  7. Garnish with a thin strawberry slice on the rim or a few small mint leaves on top. Serve immediately.

Notes

Chill glasses and champagne well before serving to maintain bubbles. Pour champagne slowly down the side of the glass to preserve fizz. Do not stir after adding champagne to avoid losing bubbles. Prepare syrup mix ahead but add champagne only when ready to serve.
