Perfect Caramel Crunch Butterfinger Truffles Recipe

Decadent truffles with a caramel crunch and creamy filling studded with crushed Butterfinger pieces, perfect for gatherings or indulgent treats.

Ingredients

  • Butterfinger candy bars, crushed into small pieces
  • Caramel candies, softened and melted
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Milk chocolate chips, melted for dipping
  • Unsalted butter, softened
  • Vanilla extract
  • Sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Butterfinger bars into small pieces using a zip-top bag and rolling pin or food processor.
  2. Melt the caramel candies in a microwave-safe bowl with 2 tablespoons of water or milk, heating in 20-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
  3. Add softened butter and sweetened condensed milk to the melted caramel and stir until fully combined.
  4. Fold in the crushed Butterfinger pieces, reserving a handful for garnish, and mix until evenly incorporated.
  5. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to firm up slightly.
  6. Scoop out small portions of the mixture (about 1 tablespoon each) and roll into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Melt the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  8. Coat each truffle in the melted chocolate using a fork or dipping tool, tap off excess chocolate, and place back on the parchment-lined tray.
  9. Sprinkle reserved crushed Butterfinger pieces on top while the chocolate is still wet.
  10. Chill the truffles in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes or until the chocolate coating is set.
