A sweet and spicy holiday appetizer featuring tangy cranberries, zesty jalapeños, creamy cheese, and crispy bacon. Perfect for parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh jalapeños
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped dried cranberries
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
  • Thin slices of bacon
  • Honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Rinse under cold water for less heat if desired.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped dried cranberries, garlic powder, and chopped green onions. Mix until well blended.
  4. Using a spoon, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, smoothing the top for even coverage.
  5. Cut bacon slices in half and wrap each popper. Secure the bacon with a toothpick.
  6. Place the poppers on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
  7. Optional: Drizzle with honey before serving.

Notes

[‘Choose larger jalapeños for a milder flavor and easier stuffing.’, ‘Microwave cream cheese for 10 seconds if not softened.’, ‘Wrap bacon tightly around jalapeños for even crisping.’, ‘Prep poppers a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake.’, ‘Use a food processor to quickly chop cranberries.’]
