Sweet, smoky, and downright addictive—bacon-wrapped pineapple with BBQ glaze is the ultimate crowd-pleaser for any occasion. Perfect for parties, snacks, or summer BBQs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and cut into bite-sized chunks (about 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 pound thin-cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Toothpicks (soaked in water)

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and cut the pineapple into bite-sized chunks, about 1-inch cubes. Set aside.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  3. Soak toothpicks in a bowl of water for about 10 minutes to prevent burning during cooking.
  4. In a small bowl, mix BBQ sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until smooth.
  5. Wrap each pineapple chunk with a piece of bacon and secure with a soaked toothpick.
  6. Place the wrapped pineapple on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
  7. Generously brush each bacon-wrapped pineapple with the BBQ glaze.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and the glaze is bubbling. Flip the pieces halfway through for even cooking.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

[‘Use thin-cut bacon for faster crisping and easier wrapping.’, ‘Brush generously with BBQ glaze for maximum flavor.’, ‘Flip the pineapple halfway through baking for even cooking.’, ‘Watch closely during the last few minutes to avoid burning the bacon.’]
