This Cheeseburger Pie combines seasoned beef, gooey cheese, and a flaky crust for a comforting, nostalgic dish that’s quick and easy to make.

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles (optional)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup or burger sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and lightly grease your pie dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef for 5-7 minutes until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for another 3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set the filling aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, milk, beaten eggs, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the crust batter into the greased pie dish, spreading it evenly. Spoon the beef mixture over the batter, spreading it out into an even layer. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, followed by diced pickles if using.
  6. Pour the remaining crust batter over the filling, ensuring it covers the toppings evenly.
  7. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the pie to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
