A quick and refreshing fruit cup featuring juicy orange slices, fresh mint, a hint of lime, and a pinch of sea salt, perfect for game day or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 medium fresh oranges (navel or blood oranges)
  • About 10 fresh mint leaves
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Optional add-ins: chopped pistachios or toasted coconut flakes, fresh blueberries or pomegranate seeds

Instructions

  1. Peel the oranges using a sharp paring knife, removing peel and white pith carefully.
  2. Slice the peeled oranges into 1/4-inch thick slices, then halve or quarter them for bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together lime juice, sea salt, and honey or maple syrup if using.
  4. Gently toss the orange slices with the dressing using a spoon or tongs. Add optional add-ins if desired.
  5. Finely chop fresh mint leaves and sprinkle over the fruit mixture. Toss lightly to distribute evenly.
  6. Spoon the dressed orange slices into serving cups or bowls, ensuring a good balance of fruit and mint.
  7. Chill the cups in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving (optional but recommended).

Notes

Add fresh mint just before serving to keep it vibrant. Avoid over-tossing the orange slices to prevent excess juice. Optional add-ins like nuts or berries add texture and color. Store leftovers covered in the fridge up to 24 hours.
