A quick and easy recipe for crispy, juicy bone-in pork chops cooked in an air fryer in just 12 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights, this recipe delivers a flavorful crust and tender meat without heavy breading.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1-inch thick, 6-8 oz each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional: pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it run empty for 5 minutes.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels to remove moisture.
  3. In a mixing bowl, drizzle olive oil over the pork chops and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Combine garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the chops. Rub the seasoning in gently to cover all sides.
  5. Place the pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  6. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 6 minutes.
  7. Using tongs, carefully flip the chops and cook for another 6 minutes until edges are golden and crispy.
  8. Check doneness with a meat thermometer; the internal temperature should be 145°F (63°C). If needed, air fry in 1-2 minute increments until done.
  9. Remove chops and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing to keep juices locked in.

Notes

Patting the pork chops dry before seasoning is key to achieving a crispy crust. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking. Rest the meat after cooking to keep it juicy. If your air fryer tends to smoke, lightly spray the basket with cooking spray before cooking. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness at 145°F (63°C).
