A cozy and creamy pumpkin spice latte that blends warm pumpkin, cinnamon, and rich espresso for a comforting fall morning drink. Quick and easy to make with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240ml) brewed espresso or strong coffee
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk (or oat, almond, or any dairy-free alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons (about 30g) canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar (dark brown sugar preferred)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves)
  • Ground cinnamon for sprinkling on top
  • Whipped cream (optional, real or coconut whipped cream for dairy-free)

Instructions

  1. Brew 1 cup (240ml) of espresso or strong coffee and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup (240ml) milk, 2 tablespoons (30g) pumpkin puree, and 1 to 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Warm for 3-4 minutes until hot but not boiling, stirring frequently.
  3. Whisk in 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth and frothy, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Froth the pumpkin milk mixture using a milk frother, handheld whisk, or blender for 30 seconds to 1 minute until creamy and airy.
  5. Pour brewed espresso into a mug, then slowly add the frothed pumpkin milk mixture, spooning foam on top.
  6. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top and add whipped cream and extra spice if desired. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling. Heat milk gently to avoid burning or curdling. Adjust espresso strength and sweetness to taste. Froth milk with a frother, whisk, or blender. Pumpkin milk mixture can be made ahead and refrigerated up to 2 days; reheat and froth before serving.
