A rich, creamy, and flavorful slow cooker chicken dish loaded with ranch seasoning, cream cheese, bacon, and cheddar cheese. Perfect for easy, fuss-free comfort food that cooks itself.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: chopped green onions or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook 6 slices of bacon until crisp, drain on paper towels, chop into small pieces, and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Stir until smooth. Add garlic powder and black pepper and mix well.
  3. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot and sprinkle ranch seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  4. Spoon the cream cheese and sour cream mixture evenly over the chicken breasts, covering completely.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours without opening the lid frequently.
  6. After 4 hours, check that chicken is cooked through (internal temperature 165°F). Shred the chicken directly in the crockpot using two forks and stir gently to mix with the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and chopped bacon over the shredded chicken. Cover and cook for another 10-15 minutes until cheese melts.
  8. Optional: garnish with chopped green onions or parsley before serving.

Notes

Softening the cream cheese before mixing prevents lumps. Use freshly cooked bacon for best flavor and texture. Shred chicken after cooking to retain moisture. Avoid opening the crockpot lid frequently to maintain cooking temperature. Silicone spatulas are recommended to avoid scratching the crockpot insert.
