I’m Sarah, and This Is My Delicious Story
From kitchen disasters to culinary confidence – here’s how I fell in love with cooking and why I’m sharing every delicious moment with you.
It Started with a Burnt Lasagna
Picture this: A 22-year-old fresh out of college, standing in her first apartment kitchen, smoke alarm blaring, staring at what was supposed to be a romantic dinner. That burnt lasagna was my rock bottom moment in the kitchen. I couldn’t even follow a simple recipe!
But instead of giving up and ordering takeout for the rest of my life (tempting as it was!), something clicked. I realized cooking wasn’t about being perfect – it was about learning, experimenting, and most importantly, enjoying the process.
So I started small. Really small. Scrambled eggs. Grilled cheese. Pasta with jarred sauce. And you know what? Each tiny success built my confidence until one day, I found myself actually enjoying time in the kitchen.

From Cooking for Myself to Cooking for You
Fast forward five years. I was that friend who always brought homemade dishes to potlucks. The one colleagues asked for recipes. My Instagram was basically a food diary, and friends kept saying, “You should start a blog!”
At first, I brushed it off. Who was I to teach people how to cook? But then I realized – that’s exactly what made me qualified. I wasn’t a trained chef with fancy techniques. I was just a regular person who figured out how to make delicious food without stress, expensive ingredients, or hours of free time.
So in 2021, WiggleBite was born. The name? It perfectly captures my cooking concept – food should be fun, approachable, and make you wiggle with happiness. Every recipe here has been tested in my own kitchen (sometimes multiple times!), tweaked until it’s just right, and shared with the same enthusiasm I’d have if you were cooking alongside me.

What I Believe About Food
These principles guide every recipe I create and share with you:
Keep It Real
No pretentious ingredients you can’t pronounce or find. Just real food that real people actually want to eat and can easily make at home.
Save Your Time
Life is busy! My recipes are designed to fit into your schedule, whether you have 15 minutes or an hour. Efficiency without sacrificing flavor.
Make It Yours
Every recipe includes tips for substitutions and variations. Don’t have an ingredient? I’ll help you figure out what works instead.
Curious about what really goes on when I’m creating recipes? Here’s the real, unfiltered truth:
Coffee is Essential
Most recipe testing happens with a giant mug of coffee within arm’s reach. Sometimes two mugs. Okay, usually two mugs.
Music is a Must
There’s always a playlist going. Current favorites range from Taylor Swift to classic rock. Yes, I dance while I cook.
Notes Everywhere
My kitchen counter is covered in sticky notes with measurements, timing adjustments, and flavor ideas. It’s organized chaos at its finest.
Multiple Attempts
I make each recipe at least 3 times before sharing it. Sometimes more if something isn’t quite right. Perfection takes practice!
Taste Testers
My husband, family, and friends are my honest critics. If they don’t love it, it doesn’t make the blog. Simple as that.
Dishes, Dishes, Dishes
The less glamorous truth? Testing multiple recipes means my sink is always full. But hey, it’s worth it for you!
Quick Bites About Me
Because life’s too short to take everything seriously:
I could eat tacos every single day and never get bored
When I’m not cooking, you’ll find me buried in a thriller novel
I run half marathons (so I can eat more carbs guilt-free!)
My guilty pleasure is rewatching The Office for the 100th time
I have a golden retriever named Biscuit who’s always begging for scraps
Cheese is my love language – the stinkier, the better!
